Raya and the Last Dragon: Midweek on the Midway

Family-friendly movies and themed activities will be offered Wednesday nights through August 10

 

On summer evenings for more than a decade, members of the campus and broader South Side communities and their families have gathered on the Midway Plaisance for outdoor movies and fun for all ages. The annual Midweek on the Midway series, hosted by the Office of Civic Engagement in partnership with the Chicago Park District, returns on Wednesdays this year starting July 6 with a slate of six popular films and corresponding family-friendly activities set to run through August 10.

Wrapping up the series, Stephanie Lupu and the Hyde Park Arts Center will teach attendees how to make their own dragon before Raya starts searching for hers in Raya and the Last Dragon.
