Virtual Event: Summer of Social Impact: COVID-19, Inequality, and the Need for Reform

As health care providers struggle to provide critical care to COVID-19 patients, and public and private insurers struggle with an uncertain economy and unpredictable health care needs, 2020 has been a stress test for a patchwork health care sector. Rising disparities in economic opportunity, education, housing, health care, and more have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and brought into sharp relief in the protests sparked by the brutal killing of George Floyd.

Join Harris School of Public Policy Dean Katherine Baicker, Professor David Meltzer, and Associate Professor Damon Jones for an in-depth look at inequalities in our health care system and our economy, and what can be done to alleviate the burden for those in greatest need.
