Research Spotlight: Chicago's Enrollment Crisis

How are equity issues in Chicago Public Schools (CPS) exacerbated by the reality of declining student enrollment? Join us on Thursday, June 9 at 2 PM (CST) to learn about Kids First Chicago's latest report, Chicago's Enrollment Crisis, exploring the root causes of CPS's enrollment decline. Kids First Chicago's (K1C) Chief of Policy Hal Woods will review the key drivers behind the decline and share how K1C is engaging parents and communities in identifying potential solutions to keep more families in Chicago and enrolled in CPS.

Opportunity for post-event discussion: Previous Research Spotlight attendees have requested opportunities to come together after the event and reflect on what they heard. In response to these requests, we will hold an optional, half-hour Zoom meeting immediately after the event for attendees to convene in breakout rooms and explore a reflection question posed by the featured researchers with fellow audience members. Our audience typically spans across district central offices, nonprofits, higher education institutions, and more.

If you would like to join this post-event discussion, just check the box when you register for the event. We will also provide the Zoom link at the end of the Research Spotlight webinar.
