Public Safety Advisory Council Meeting

The University of Chicago Public Safety Advisory Council seeks community input on issues impacting safety and security on campus and in the UChicago Police Department's extended patrol area. 

The February meeting will include an update from UChicago Chief of Police Kyle Bowman on the results of crime reduction efforts throughout the extended patrol area; a presentation from Mike Kwiatkowski, assistant vice president for campus safety, on the hiring, training, and deployment of Allied Universal personnel who address security on and off campus, such as safety ambassadors and “Green Light" car operators; and an overview from Katie Martin Peck, associate director for campus environment, of pedestrian safety improvements made to the Midway Plaisance and 55th Street over the past several months.
