Margie DeVine

President, DeVine Consulting

As a consultant specializing in fundraising and search, Margie DeVine meets her clients where they are and approaches each assignment with a combination of confidence, humility, and optimism. Over the years, projects have ranged from helping a nonprofit receive its 501(c)(3) status to planning for and implementing multi-million dollar campaigns. As a result, DeVine Consulting has served 72 nonprofits and completed 115 searches. DeVine started her career as a foundation assistant at Children’s Memorial Hospital (Lurie Children’s), where she worked for 18 years, culminating in her role as senior vice president. In her last few years at Lurie, she was responsible for organizing the $600 million capital campaign to build a new hospital, including overseeing the lead gifts phase. After her time at Lurie, DeVine served as vice president for external affairs at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
