Entrepreneurial Selling: Know Your Skills and Stage

Entrepreneurs must be good at selling. Join UChicago's Polsky Center to learn some practical and immediately applicable selling skills and behaviors you can apply throughout the sales process. The event will begin with an overview of the different selling stages and explore what stage you are in. This will include understanding the implications and actions you should take depending on your stage. From here, participants will jump into learning some selling skills entrepreneurs need to be good at. This will be an interactive, hands-on session that you can start using right away.

About the instructor:
Michael Alter is Clinical Professor of Entrepreneurship​ at Chicago Booth. Previously, Alter was the Chief Executive Officer of The Tie Bar​, ​ the #1 e-commerce destination for stylish men's accessories​, and prior to that, co-founder and President/CEO of SurePayroll, a SaaS technology company that is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Paychex®. ​He began his career in sales at IBM and received his MBA from Harvard Business School, before leading service operations at McKinsey and Company​.
