Celebrate the Legacy of Muddy Waters: ‘Roots and Blues’ Documentary Premiere
The Logan Center for the Arts is excited to be partnering with the MOJO Museum to present the premier of “Roots and Blues”, a captivating documentary celebrating the legendary Muddy Waters and the cultural significance of the MOJO Museum
Executive produced by Chandra Cooper, Muddy Waters’ great-granddaughter and Founder of the Museum, and written by Tanikia Carpenter, this film is not to be missed.
This Black History Month event marks the debut screening of the documentary. Join us as we explore how Muddy’s music shaped a cultural movement, inspired generations, and led to the creation of the Muddy Waters MOJO Museum—a tribute to his profound impact on music and culture. The film will be followed by a Q&A session.
The film will begin at 7 p.m.
This event is supported in part by the Mellon Foundation through a gift to the Mojo Museum and The Jonathan Logan Family Foundation through a gift to support Blues@Logan.
