Celebrate Black History Month at Gary Comer Youth Center

Join in at the Gary Comer Youth Center, 7200 S. Ingleside Ave., Chicago, for an inspiring event honoring Black history and culture. Enjoy activities like shadow-box making, “Archivist in a Box,” and digitization services by the University of Chicago Library and the Black Metropolis Research Consortium. Explore rare artifacts from DuSable Museum, a pop-up bookstore by Semicolon, and a panel featuring Chicago-born rapper and philanthropist Vic Mensa on preserving Black culture. Free childcare, meals, and Storytime for kids 5+ provided.
