Can't Stop. Won't Stop. GameStop 101
Event Description
Do you have absolutely no idea what's going on with GameStop and why everyone is talking about it, but you feel like it must somehow be important? In this session, participants with little to no knowledge of finance, shorting stocks, GameStop, Robinhood, and Reddit will get an introduction to these topics and build a basic understanding of what's happened over the past few weeks with GameStop's stock price. The session will examine the various players involved, motivations, a timeline of what's happened so far, and potential outcomes, with an eye toward bureaucracy and politics.
