Co-authored by UChicago Vice President for Civic Engagement and External Affairs Derek Douglas, the Advancing University Engagement report creates a framework to evaluate and rank universities according to their engagement with local communities. The new ranking system is intended to incentivize universities to do more for the communities around them, and reorient value systems in higher education.
