The Grand Challenge Social Work is proud to announce the newest addition to its fields of focus: the Grand Challenge to Prevent Gun Violence. This new Grand Challenge area was submitted as a proposal for the GCSW's Go•Grander efforts, an ongoing campaign to think bigger and do more to solve some of society’s greatest challenges.

The network supporting this Grand Challenge effort will be led by three-co-chairs: Deborah Gorman-Smith, PhD, Dean and Emily Klein Gidwitz Professor of the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice, Patricia Logan-Greene, PhD, MSSW, Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for the University at Buffalo School of Social Work, and Neil B. Guterman, Ph.D., MSW, Paulette Goddard Professor of Social Work and Dean Emeritus at NYU Silver School of Social Work.
