NPR's Code Switch: Chicago's Red Summer

NPR's popular podcast Code Switch reflects on the 1919 Chicago race riots, what is called the Red Summer. School of Social Service Administration Professor and acclaimed writer Eve Ewing was also interviewed to discuss her book of the same topic, 1919, which came out this year. Centenarian Timuel Black, of the Civic Knowledge Project, also offered his wisdom and memory of race relations in the city from that year to the present.
