Chicago Sun Times: Cook County announces Project Rainbow to address pandemic learning losses

Online Education

Cook County announced the creation of Project Rainbow, in an effort to fill early education quality gaps amplified by the pandemic. According to one of the project partners, Erickson Institute, immigrants and children of color are less likely to have access to quality education during their early years, and less access to internet connections as well. In order to combat this issue, Cook County started Project Rainbow as a initiative to inspire children in a positive manner.

The app, which was developed by students on the University of Chicago TechTeam and advised by app experts at Microsoft, will be made available on Google Play and Apple in the coming weeks.
