The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering (PME) partners with After School Matters to provide paid Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) lab internships to students in the Chicago Public Schools System. The program is part of a larger outreach effort intended to spark an interest in STEM for young children. PME also trains graduate students to integrate their research with activities that will engage young audiences in schools on the South Side.
