A student literacy program directed by the University of Chicago currently serves 18 schools, but is seeking to expand to more neighborhoods. More than 9,500 students from pre-K to eighth grade will each recieve ten free books, as well as the opportunity to attend book fairs and recieve books signed by the authors.
