1919 Chicago Race Riots Day of Remembrance Bike Tour in Bronzeville
Join SSA’s Franklin Cosey-Gay of the Chicago Center for Youth Violence Prevention who will co-lead a bike tour of Bronzeville during a Day of Remembrance of the 1919 Chicago Race Riots. Meet at the 35th St/Bronzeville Green Line at 8:30am, Sat, July 27. After the tour, join Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) Office of Community Affairs for a conversation with Lee Bey.

Bike tour of key race riot sites with Go Bronzeville and Slow Roll. Meet at 35th and Green Line and end at the Eugene Williams historical marker at 29th and Lakefront Path. Riders will be encouraged to bike back to 3201 S. State for the Chicago Race Riots Day of Remembrance 2019 Launch that begins at 10 am.
