In her current role as the Associate Director for the Upward Bound program, Terhonda manages the implementation of program activities for students and parents, school leadership and community partner relationships, student recruitment and advising. She works closely with other staff to monitor the academic development and progress of students in this multi-year program, and oversees the preparation of the annual performance report to the U.S. Department of Education. Previously, she served as the Academic Coordinator for the Office of Special Programs-College Prep. Her work in college access has included being Parent Coordinator for Big Buddies Youth Services, where she supported students and parents by developing and implementing workshops and seminars to meet their academic and social needs. Born in Chicago, Terhonda is an alumna of Xavier University of Louisiana, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
