Cathy Woolfolk

Cathy joined UChicago in March 2013 and manages UCSC’s center-wide operations, Days of Service, and the community-based federal work-study program that partners with nonprofit organizations, schools, and government agencies to connect eligible students with employment during the school year and summer. Prior to relocating to Chicago from Los Angeles, Cathy was a public relations and marketing consultant in the health care industry. Her work with nonprofit organizations began with the American Diabetes Association’s African-American Outreach Education Program in Los Angeles County, where she recruited doctors, diabetes educators, pharmaceutical reps, along with community and church leaders, to raise awareness of the overwhelming prevalence of diabetes among the African-American population. Cathy received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Journalism from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and her public relations certification from UCLA.
