Amy Chan

Amy joined UChicago in July 2011 and has focused her career on student and community development through educational organizations. She served as the Director of Youth Programs at the Coro Center for Civic Leadership in San Francisco, a national nonprofit founded in 1942 that provides intensive leadership training for students and professionals interested in public affairs. Amy also served as the Senior Campus Director at the Boston headquarters of Citizen Schools, a national nonprofit that since 1995 has partnered with 31 middle schools to expand the learning day for over 5,000 children in low-income communities. In Washington D.C., Amy directed a literacy program at a targeted-assistance elementary school as an AmeriCorps VISTA. Amy received her Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Carleton College in Northfield, Minn., and her Master’s in Education from Harvard University.
