A joint project of the Virginia-based Institute for Justice and The University of Chicago Law School, the IJ Clinic provides free legal assistance and advocacy to low-income entrepreneurs in Chicago. Student volunteers guide clients through the complex legal requirements, contractual relationships, and paperwork needed to get a new enterprise up and running. The IJ Clinic also presents free workshops for local entrepreneurs and serves as a watchdog for excessive regulation of small businesses in Chicago.
